Confessioni di un malandrino (col bicchiere in mano...)

Sono uscito da un redazione che erano passate le otto. Tutto il giorno a cucinare articoli, limare parole, pensare titoli, riquadri, imbastire servizi. Da quanto tempo non sentivo più l'odore di questa vita che, nonostante i divieti, sa sempre di fumo. Ho da due giorni un nuovo lavoro, collaboro, per un paio di intense giornate a settimana, alla rivista Le vie della pesca. Finisco che mi sembra di aver guidato il trattore. Respiro l'aria della sera e me la faccio a piedi da Villa San Giovanni a Porta Venezia, seguo la scia che dalla periferia porta al centro di Milano. Scarico una giornata passata a fare a pugni con le cose, sempre troppe, da fare. Guardo i volti, spesso inquietanti di questa città, ne colgo i segni, i rari sorrisi e raggiungo casa. Qui, stasera ho trovato ad aspettarmi la piacevolezza del riso basmati pakistano che mi ha consigliato il gentile commesso dell'Indian Krishna Bazar di via Panfilo Castaldi, un profumo arcaico e semplice da far impallidire tutti i confezionatori nostrani di basmati. Sacchetto in tela, chiusura a cerniera, notizie chiare sulla cottura, la proveniena, i valori nutrizionali. Due chili di ottimo riso a 4 euro. Poi un pacco arrivato per posta: è il mio pacchetto della felicità (scambio di doni a sconosciuti ideato da Fiordizucca) e contiene un bel pezzettone di Parmigiano Reggiano stagionato come dio comanda. Grazie Lucia, di cuore.
Infine solito viaggio in rete per trovare una grande, bella, sorpresa: Franco Ziliani, combattiva firma del mondo del vino, che scrive e scrive un post dove parla bene, tanto bene, di me, del mio lavoro, di un mio articolo sull'Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena che è uscito nell'ultimo numero di Buffet. Che bello trovare riconoscimenti per come uno ha deciso di spendere il proprio mestiere: grazie Franco, anche se sì, credo che in politica si pensino cose diverse. Non lo stesso si può dire, immagino, in fatto di vini, terre e contadini. Così apro una bottiglia di Carema riserva 1999 (Paolo, me ne procuro un'altra, non dubitare...), vino quasi ignoto ma dalla piacevolezza antica dei Nebbiolo del nord del Piemonte. Mi immergo nella lettura della Biografia sentimentale dell'ostrica. Forse non l'ho ancora scritto: buon anno a tutti.

Beh, Elisa, torno sempre a piedi, mi piace. Secondo Maporama sono 5,2 km. Penso alle montagne ossolane dove ho conosciuto persone che nella prima metà del Novecento, facevano ore di cammino per andare a lavorare. E mi sento fortunato;-)
