Mai come oggi il tema della libertà di stampa in Italia e nel mondo è un tema caldo: dai giornalisti che muoiono in zone di guerra a quelli che si scontrano ogni giorno con i muri di gomma di un potere che ama sempre meno la trasparenza, il fronte della libertà di stampa è quanto mai inquietante ed inquieto. A fianco della libertà di stampa, quindi della possibilità di informare ed essere informati senza censure, senza pressioni, senza torture, si pone, necessariamente, il problema dell'accesso all'informazione. Quella dell’accesso sarà la sfida del prossimo futuro: in un mondo sempre più "in rete" esiste una parte consistente di cittadini dei paesi più poveri a cui l’accesso all‘informazione è negato. Fosse solo per motivi strutturali. Esistono paesi dell’Africa con una linea telefonica ogni 200.000 abitanti. Come si può parlare per questi di accesso all’informazione?
Attorno a questi due temi sto per far partire - per conto dell'Osservatorio Ilaria Alpi - un weblog collettivo, aperto al contributo di tutte le persone che hanno voglia di discutere e partecipare. Sulla libertà di stampa e la libertà di accesso all'informazione esiste molta vitalità, con gruppi, associazioni, siti attivissimi che producono cultura, informazione, notizie, commenti su questi temi. Serve allora un weblog? Credo proprio di sì, perché sia uno spazio, un'arena, un luogo di punti di vista, di dibattito aperto, di senalazione del lavoro di ogni realtà conosciuta o seminascosta.
A questo blog potranno partecipare liberamente, senza moderazione di alcun tipo tutte le persone che ne faranno richiesta con un nome, un cognome e una mail valida. Chiunque fosse interessato mi scriva qui, gli farò avere la passoword per scrivere sul nuovo blog.
